Thank you everyone for coming to see DROM on June 15th! This edition the performance DROM was reborn in The Hague: a group of dancers from Cristiane Azem’s company joined an international cast of performers residing in the Netherlands, who learn and perform the original choreographies for the first time. This crossroads turns the show into a living and collective experience, where learning and cultural transmission become visible on stage.

The Dutch edition of DROM is financially made possible by CultuurSchakel. For the stage dance project DROM we created a collection of Roma wheels in collaboration with the visual artist Carmen Saez and painting amateurs of the city of The Hague. These paintings describe the wheel in the Roma people flag with different ornaments from the country they meet during their travel. Our wish is to represent the union of the Roma people with the countries of their diaspora. These beautiful wheels are a symbol of travelling, and will be projected during the dance show.
